Free Concert - on the Mountain

Live Music and free concert just under the famous Vulcan statue on 19th street. Arrive early - the band will play on the back porch for 2 hours before the Fireworks show. This location is the perfect view for anyone wanting to see Thunder on the Mountain.   For decades, Vulcan Park has presented one of the largest and most extravagant Independence Day traditions in the state of Alabama—and this year will be no exception. On July 4 at 9 p.m., we will once again illuminate the skies above Birmingham’s beloved iron man, Vulcan.
